The base Sport, Sahara, and top-of-the-line Rubicon. In either a basic two-door or an Unlimited four-door version.

2011 Kia Sedona

The 2011 Kia Sedona is available in two trim levels: LX and EX. The short-wheelbase model that was offered last year has been discontinued. Other changes for 2011 include a new grille that matches other Kia vehicle’s grilles, as well as an all-new V6 engine that makes 271-horsepower that is connected to a new six-speed automatic transmission. The base 2011 Sedona LX also comes with turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, tandard Bluetooth, six airbags, three months of Sirius satellite radio, keyless entry, USB/iPod connectivity,  steering wheel mounted audio controls and a back-up sensor that warns drivers of approaching objects to the rear of the vehicle.

MSRP: $24,595 - $29,195
Invoice: $23,870 - $27,275
MPG: 17 City / 23 Hwy

Purchase Deal

Deal: $2,000 cash back and 0.9% APR for 36 months
Minivans are all about value – and reviewers say the Kia Sedona is one minivan that has the value equation all sewn up. While the Sedona doesn’t offer as many bells and whistles as other vans do, it does have a lower starting price and a longer warranty. That’s good news for parents who care more about funding their kids’ college funds than keeping them pacified with wide-screen DVD players. In April, you can finance the Sedona at 0.9 percent for 36 months and get $2,000 cash back.

2011 Mazda2

The 2011 Mazda2 has two trims: Sport and Touring. The Sport trim is fairly well equipped, with power windows, power locks, a jack for MP3 players, and a four-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo. The Touring trim adds nicer cloth seats, cruise control, a six-speaker stereo and steering-wheel mounted stereo controls. Neither trim, however, includes basic tech features like a USB port and Bluetooth connectivity.

The 2011 Mazda2 Sport starts at $14,730 and the Touring model starts at $16,185. Both the Sport and Touring come with a 1.5-liter 100-horsepower engine and a five-speed manual transmission.

MSRP: $14,180 - $16,435
Invoice: $13,996 - $16,216
MPG: 29 (Est) City / 35 (Est) Hwy

Purchase Deal

Deal: 0% APR for up to 60 months
Mazda, like most Japanese car makers, has faced supply and production issues since the earthquake in Japan. However, that hasn’t stopped this automaker from offering the Mazda2 subcompact with zero-percent financing for up to 60 months. The Mazda2 is closely related to the popular Ford Fiesta, and reviewers like its fun-to-drive nature and low price. Keep in mind that Mazda2 supplies may run short due to the ongoing crisis in Japan, so negotiating a lower price may be tough.  That’s why a no-interest offer like this is so enticing. If you qualify for it, you’ll save over the long term.  It’s also one of the best offers currently available on a small, fuel-efficient car.

2011 Buick Enclave

The 2011 Buick Enclave is available in three trims: the base CX, premium CXL1 and top-of-the-line CXL2. Trims are available with front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. This year’s model is a carryover from last year.

MSRP: $35,615 - $44,095
Invoice: $33,834 - $41,890
MPG: 17 City / 24 Hwy

Purchase Deal

Deal: $2,000 cash back or 0% APR for 60 months
The Buick Enclave offers as much practicality as any other family crossover on the market, but ups the ante with high-end style and comfort. While that raises the Enclave’s price, most reviewers say it’s worth it. Though all the upscale appointments, including an available Bose stereo, are nice, the Enclave gets the most respect for having a third row that’s actually adult-friendly. In April, the Enclave’s higher price may be easier to stomach. You can choose between $2,000 cash back or zero-percent financing for up to 60 months for qualified buyers.

2011 GMC Sierra 1500

The GMC Sierra was last redesigned in 2007, and other than rearranged trim levels, the latest 9.0 OnStar system and enhancements that reduce wind noise, the 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 is practically identical to the 2010 model. One of the Sierra’s greatest strengths is its customizability. It has multiple engine options, four of which are FlexFuel capable, meaning that they can take a combination of gasoline and E85 fuel.

There are also Regular, Extended and Crew Cab models that have different seating capacities, truck bed sizes and interior options that allow shoppers to choose the right features for their needs.

MSRP: $20,850 - $46,645
Invoice: $20,016 - $43,380
MPG: 15 City / 18 Hwy

Purchase Deal

Deal: up to $4,505 cash back when you finance though Ally Financial
When shopping for a truck, it’s easy to get sucked into the Ford vs. Chevy debate and forget all about GMC. That’s a mistake. The GMC Sierra 1500 is a capable truck that’s strong enough to work all day, but upscale enough for a night out. With the deal GMC is offering on the Sierra in April, you should have enough money to hit the town.  Finance through Ally Financial, GMC’s lending arm, and get up to $4,505 off on the Sierra 1500 crew and extended cab models. That’s enough to put thoughts of a bowtie or a blue oval far from your mind.

2011 Honda Civic

Choosing to buy a Civic is the easy part. The hard part is deciding which trim is right for you. The basic Civic is available as a sedan and coupe and comes in several trims: DX, DX-VP, LX-S, EX and EX-L. Rather than allow shoppers to select the options they want, Honda offers additional features to each trim level. One of the few optional features is the navigation system. Prices begin at $15,805 for the DX and reach $23,955 for the EX-L with navigation. Most shoppers will start with the DX-VP trim because it offers air conditioning. The Civic SI, the performance-oriented trim, is also available and offers 57 more horsepower than the base model, a few more performance options and a starting price of around $7,000 more than the base Honda Civic.

The 2010 Honda Civic also comes in two eco-friendly options: the Honda Civic Hybrid, which is reviewed separately, and the GX, a hybrid alternative that runs on Compressed Natural Gas. Unfortunately the GX is only sold in California (and other states that have accepted California's Zero-Emission Vehicle regulations). It costs about $10,000 more than a base Honda Civic.

2011 Honda Accord

The Honda Accord was updated in 2010. That, however, hasn’t stopped Honda from updating it once more. For 2011, Honda has given the Accord a cosmetic refresh, improved aerodynamics, added a new trim and increased fuel economy.

The easiest-to-spot changes are found on the 2011 Honda Accord’s exterior. Although there are minor modifications, the Accord sports an updated front grill and bumper, rear deck lid and a new set of wheels.

Additionally, the 2011 Honda Accord can be had in a new leather-equipped Special Edition (SE) trim. The SE strikes a balance between value and luxury by providing leather, heated seats – with driver’s lumbar support – and a leather-trimmed steering wheel. Car and Driver points out, “This is clearly Honda's Hyundai Sonata fighter, albeit with 21 fewer ponies." Including the new SE, there is a total of seven trim levels.

Also arriving this year are 4.8-liter V8 engine availability for the 2500 series van, OnStar upgrades and optional satellite radio, Bluetooth, a USB port and a heavy-duty locking rear differential.

2011 Chevrolet Cruze

The 2011 Chevrolet Cruze is a new model. This compact sedan replaces the Cobalt in Chevrolet's vehicle lineup. The Cruze is available in LS, LT, LTZ and Eco trims. It goes on sale toward the end of 2010, and reviewers estimate that its price will start at around $15,000. Since the Cruze isn't in full U.S. production yet, some of the information in this review may change. Check back often for updates on the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze.

Since the Cruze is a new model, it's unlikely that Chevrolet will be offering any discounts on it. However, you may be able to get a great deal on a Chevrolet Cobalt because dealers will need to get rid of it to make room for the Cruze.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado HD

The Chevrolet Silverado HD received a serious overhaul for 2011, with an upgraded drivetrain, braking system, engines, and even a few tweaks to the exterior. The auto press is unanimous in its praise for these improvements, which they say have improved power, acceleration, steering, braking, ride comfort and stability. Chevrolet gave both gas- and turbodiesel-powered V8 engines more horsepower and torque, and tweaked the gear ratios to increase towing capacity to a maximum of 21,700 pounds. The turbodiesel engine is now B20-biodiesel compatible.

Chevrolet offers two different heavy-duty models, the 2500HD and the 3500HD. Each model comes in WT, LT, and LTZ trims, which range from pure-pickup utilitarian to upscale-sedan quality interiors. The 3500HD is also available with dual rear wheels if you opt for the “Big Dooley” trims. Dual rear wheels, sometimes called “duallies” or “doolies,” add increased traction and towing power. The base two-wheel drive, 2500HD WT starts at $28,415, and the most expensive 3500HD LTZ starts at about $30,000 and can be optioned to more than $63,000.

Its next redesign is expected in 2012.

The RAV4 comes in a base model, performance-oriented Sport and top-of-the-line Limited. All-wheel drive is optional. Since the 2009 and 2010 RAV4 are nearly identical, this review uses research from both model years.

2011 Toyota Camry

The Camry was last redesigned for the 2008 model year. Some material used in this review may refer to earlier model years that are substantially similar. The Camry is available in a stripped-down base model, a better-equipped LE edition, a sport-tuned SE model and a top-of-the-line XLE trim level. The 2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid, a close variant of the gas-only Camry, is reviewed separately.

Shoppers might want to note that 2007 through 2010 Camry sedans were included in a pair of massive and highly-publicized recalls due to allegations that a Camry, under certain conditions, could accelerate even when its driver wasn’t touching the gas pedal. A Toyota spokesperson tells us that the 2011 Camry’s accelerator pedal is a new design that's not affected by the recalls. The 2011 Toyota Camry is also one of the first Toyotas to feature a new brake override system, which ensures that the engine can’t cause the car to accelerate while the brake pedal is being pressed. There have been no allegations of unintended acceleration regarding the 2011 Toyota Camry, but it has only been on the market for a very short time.
